Hey Everybody!

How’s it going? Hope you cats are all well and had a lovely weekend soaking up some rays. Loving the sunshine! Let’s hope it lasts.

I had an amazing weekend performing at the Radio Aire Party in the Park in Leeds and Key 103’s Summer Ball in Manchester- both shows were so much fun and the crowds were brilliant so a BIG thank you if you came down to either. I’m really happy to be back singing live with my band again after so long in the studio. I also got a chance to catch up with my pals from The Wanted and JLS and also spend some time with the lovely Ollie Murs.

Tinchy Stryder was also there this weekend. We recently recorded a track together for his new album which i'm excited about so stay tuned for more info about that coming soon. Here we are hanging out backstage.

 

The launch of ‘All About Tonight’ has been nerve wracking but really exciting so far. Hearing it on the radio for the first time was a great feeling- I’ve spent so long listening to it on my own through my laptop speakers! Thanks to all of you who came down to Radio 1 for the first play and for all the cards and letters of support. I read them all in the car on my way home afterwards.

 
Thanks for the support with the video as well. I can’t believe we’re already at 1.7 million views. That’s insane!! If you haven’t seen it yet check it out here. The shoot was funny- I spent a lot of time wandering around in a big white dressing gown with the hood pulled up and my sunglasses on like some sort of crazy futuristic spaceman because the pesky paparazzi found out where we were shooting and I didn’t want them to see my new haircut before you guys!

Because we shot the big dance scene for the video in the middle of the night we didn’t finish filming until 7 in the morning and I had to be up again for another photoshoot out in the desert at 11am. A very sleepy gang piled into the van after just 2 hours sleep so we made an emergency stop at a petrol station on the way for sweets (Twizlers and Swedish Fish- yummmm!) and iced coffee to help us stay awake. It ended up being a great day but VERY hot!

Since launching ‘All About Tonight’ its been a whirlwind of interviews, shoots and gigs but I’ve also had the opportunity to spend some time with my family. We had a lovely holiday in Portugal last month and I recently went to my older brother’s university graduation in Norwich. It was a great day with all the fam and I loved being the proud sister taking loads of photos of him in his cap and gown! 

 
Last night I got the chance to be a DJ for the night up in Scotland where I co-hosted the In:Demand radio show with Romeo. It was so much fun! Romeo and I made a good little radio double act but I don't think I should give up the day job any time soon!! Ha ha. It was great to see the fans that came down to the station and i loved answering all the questions you guys tweeted in. Check out this amazing cookie Romeo made me . It was v tasty! He sure knows how to win a girl's heart!! :)

In the next couple of weeks I’ll mostly be in the studio putting the finishing touches on my new album which is coming out in November (trying to decide on a title for it now, shall keep you posted. Any suggestions?!!), preparing for the release of ‘All About Tonight’ which comes out on September 4th and also finishing off my new Autumn/Winter range for Lipsy.

 
Can’t wait to see you crazy cats soon and for you to hear more of my new songs. Exciting times agaga!
